The whole unit is bolted into the floor, and can hold a static load of up to 800 lbs. No part of an adult’s body will ever come in contact with the Step-N-Wash while it is retracted. When it is installed in a restroom with two or more lavatories, it is in full ADA compliance.

The Step-N-Wash is also very cost effective. If the Step-N-Wash is used just 15 times a day, that works out to less than two cents per use over a five year period. The Step-N-Wash is used significantly more often than a diaper changing table.
